Krait uses OAuth identity provider to connect to Slack. You can deliver real-time notifications and security alerts directly into your team’s channels by making the connection.

Connecting Slack

Log into Slack

Sign in to your Slack workspace using an account with administrator or app-management permissions. These permissions are required to install and authorize new integrations.

Authorize the Krait App

Review and approve the permissions requested by Krait. These include scopes such as chat:write and channels:read, which allow Krait to post alerts in your workspace.

Connect Slack in Krait

Open the Krait dashboard and navigate to Integrations → Alerts → Slack, then click Connect to continue.

Select a Notification Channel

Choose the Slack channel where Krait should send security alerts and notifications. This can be an existing team channel or a dedicated monitoring channel.

Complete the Integration

Confirm your selection. Krait will validate the connection and begin sending alerts to Slack automatically.

Configure Alert Preferences

Open workspace settings

Navigate to Workspace Settings from the Krait dashboard.

Go to notifications

Select the Notifications tab to manage alert preferences for the workspace.

Choose alert types

Enable the alerts you want to receive, such as:
  • Newly detected vulnerabilities
  • Failed scans
  • Completed scans with no findings
  • Ticket creation and unresolved critical issues

Select notification channels

Choose where alerts should be delivered, including Slack, Email.

Save your preferences

Confirm your settings. Krait will start sending alerts based on the selected rules and channels.
With alerts configured, Krait keeps your team informed in real time without disrupting existing workflows. By delivering the right notifications to the right channels, teams can respond faster and stay aligned on security issues.

Disconnecting Slack

To disconnect Slack from your Krait workspace, open Integrations from the main sidebar and navigate to the Alerts where Slack is listed. Locate Slack in your connected integrations and click Disconnect. Confirm the prompt to finalize the disconnection. Once disconnected, Krait will no longer send alerts, notifications, or messages to your Slack workspace. You can reconnect Slack at any time from the same integrations settings area if needed.
